I thought ALL the major Hollywood studios except ONE was behind Blu-Ray not HD DVD. (if I remember correctly just one studio and Microsoft are behind HD DVD)
Isn’t this false advertising? (or maybe that’s the way to win the war)

If BluRay is $1800.00 and HD-DVD is $499.00 and backward compatible the war is over.

I have no HDMI input so it is incompatible with my HDTV.

If you have a DVI input that supports HDCP, you can use a HDMI->DVI converter cable.
(HDCP would only be needed for program content that requires it.)
