Thanks Laurence. The OIS jitter was raised in an B&H customer review, so I don't understand why they didn't know about the switch!

Quite right about vari-focal lenses not holding focus; probably spoilt by my Canon EF 24-105mm which holds well.

Don't forget you can use your cannon lens and loads of others on there as well with an adapter it will just be cropped because of the smaller sensor.

I've started collecting old primes for my GH3, got an old manual FD mount 85mm f1.8 it's lovely and you can get the aperture rings declicked. for the 85mm your field of view will look like you were using a 170mm lens on a micro 4/3 camera but dof calculations etc. will still be that of an 85mm lens.

thumps up for the 12-35 from me also, I want the 35-100 but need more money :). I've got the panasonic leica f1.4 25mm (50mm eq) prime that's lovely.

Yes, I have a collection of lenses ranging from C-mount cine primes, 35mm Zeiss primes, Schneider primes in Arri bayonet mounts, an Angenieux 12-120mm zoom (Arri mount) as well as the Canon EF. So I'm looking at which adapters will be most useful. The problem with the EF lenses is that the adapters are dumb and aperture cannot be adjusted. There is a Bower adapter that incorporates an iris. Plus, of course, MFT lenses such as the 12-35 zoom.

Of course there is the http://www.mtfservices.com/home.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=117&category_id=2live EF to MFT[/link], but that's getting expensive.
