OT: Broadcast Titling & Credit Text

Say someone I know is producing a local documentary for "Grassroots TV." Clips, historic stills, music, voice-overs, talking heads, etc. Behind all the creative stuff (thank god for Vegas), can anyone reccomend a source that will outline, DEFINE, and put the whole legal issues in context? You know, the administrative content of a program? I.e., written by, produced by, alcohol by . . . courtesy of.
Thanks, DGrob

If you are looking for a "laundry list" of what should be included in the credits, much of this seems to be up to nothing more than accepted practices. If you look at old movies, they got by with just three or four screens of credits. Now you have credits that include caterers, local hotels, etc.

The one key thing to include is a copyright notice, with your name (or your comapny name). Use the "circle c" © character. The notice should read:

Copyright © Top Gun Videos, Inc. 2003

Laundry list . . . yes, that's it exactly. Good to go on the copyright. Thanks, DGrob
