OT: burning a mixed mode cd

Hi There -
I have an audio cd that was given to me un-finalized. The client wants to add a video of one of the songs as an extra on the CD. I have Nero and I know I've done this before but I can't seem to figure it out. It doesn't seem to give me the option to append to the CD as data and burn. If anyone knows, can they email me at cdm@cdmstudios.com? or post here?

thanks in advance!

charles

just open nero (what version?)
and have the cd that you are adding to in the drive

you can check the cd in nero by going to disk info...
see if in fact the cd is really open still... if its closed, youll have to start over..

if it is open still..
just add to it.. and then hit burn...
(with the original cd, obviosly)

hope that works for ya

well, that doesn't work for me. That's what I thought would be the way but it doesn't give me the choice to burn.

actually, what I discovered is that this is SO much easier on a Mac. All I had to do was take the open session DAO audio CD and put it in the drive, open Toast, and burn an ISO 9660 cd-rom on the other part of the cd and finalize.

thanks

in nero did you try checking out DISK INFORMATION?
what does it say about the disk? is it in fact open, or closed?

when it was burnt the first time, was it on a MAC or PC?
and what format was it burnt?

Well, it;'s an open CD with a DAO audio session. 12 tracks, mastered at the Hit Factory in NYC. I'm supposed to add a video to the portion that's left on the CD. When I add the CD to the drive and open Nero and create a new CD-ROM ISO 9660, it doesn't give me the option to write. When I go to look at the CD info, it shows the opne session with all the cd tracks. On a Mac, if I open toast and choose CD-ROM, it just lets me write onto the cd without question.

this sounds quite obvious.. but have you burnt a cd, or a mulitsession cd with nero on the PC before?
can you play the existing cd in your PC right now?

do the tracks show up, in NERO, what is on the cd when inserted into the drive? is it reading the existing meterial?

the burn option is greyed out your saying huh....

try and burn a multisession on your pc, with nero right now..

worse comes to worse.. just rip the cd.. .and start over, adding your contents to the final burn...
would that work?

hope that helps
