OT: CD Arch 5 does not detect CD burner in Win 7

New PC running Win 7 - loaded CD Architect 5.0a and tried to burn a disc. CDA does not detect the burner.

When I select "burn disc" I get a message saying I am not logged on as the administrator and all feature of the program may not be available to me. (Don''t know how to log on as admin and not sure why this should matter)

Then the "Burn Disc at Once Audio CD" box opens and the drive menue shows "None" .

I can burn an audio CD using Windows, and I can burn a DVD on this drive using DVDA5.

Sorry for asking this here, but the CD Architect forum looks pretty dead.

You will probably have to download update 5.2D as CDA did not work in Vista until 5.2B.

My serial number on file is for version 5.0, and does not work with 5.2D. Don't see an upgrade option - perhaps I have to buy the full version of 5.2....

Thanks,

Thanks musicvid, the problem I encounter is that I can download either the 5.2 file or the file to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.2.

Installing either one then asks me for a serial number that is not the SN for the original 5.0 on the PC. I'm not asked to buy an upgrade in this download process. So... my question is really if I have to pay to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.2, where is that option? The fact that I see a new 5.XX version would usually indidate a free upgrade...

Thanks,
RalphM

I think they had a deal at one time where they included the 5.2d with a Sound Forge upgrade, if thats any help.
