OT:Changing audio duration

I want to stretch a 5 minute music track by 20 seconds. What is the best way to achieve that in Vegas 13 without distortion. Thx

You will not do that and maintain pitch without introducing harmonic distortion, q-noise, echo, and/or flanging. You are suggesting a 7% stretch, which is nontrivial.

It is quite easy to do with straight resampling, which will lower the pitch quite a bit.

The best tool to try in Pro 13 is called Elastique.

Just hold Ctrl and drag the end of the audio track to the length you want.

As Musicvid mentioned, you may hear some artifacts so this should be done w/ audio at higher sample rates for best results.
