OT: ... compressing mp3 to make cda file....?

...posted this all over the net without a response... maybe someone here can help ... I've got mp3's at 160 kps and need to make an audio cd for the client ... using a program like Roxio, does the program re-compress to make the cda and if so, how much quality am I losing ...? ...and what about Vegas 5 ... can I do it with no or minimal quality loss...? ... I hate computers ...

Audio CDs are not compressed. The MP3 data will be decompressed to 44.1KHz 16 bit stereo when recorded on the disc. Unless your original MP3 data came from a high resolution source (96KHz 24 bit, for example) there should be no quality loss when burning the disc.

If you've got Vegas 4 or 5, burn right from Vegas' timeline: Tools / Burn CD / Disc-At-Once Audio CD. There's no need for any other software.
