OT: Contacting a Web site from a CD

I have a client who wants to put two video/audio clips onto a CD with a third clip that is audio only, his daughter singing. No problem with the first two video/audio clips. However, while the audio is playing on the third clip, he wants the viewer to be able to click on a link and have his daughter's web site open in a separate window, rather than having to look at three minutes of a blank screen or a head shot of his daughter.

Is it possible to do this, to put a hot web link (URL) onto a CD so that the computer will open a new window for the web site and continue to play the music in the background?

If not (which I suspect), does anyone have another suggestion? He doesn't want to pay for a photo montage to accompany the song, which was my suggestion.

Jack

Two ways I know - the more complex would be an authored CD rom, which needs other software (I use Mediator).

The easier way would be to use command markers in a WMV or WMA clip to be played in Media Player. These can be used to display subtitles or trigger URLs.

Check the Manual (p81) and have a go - if you need more help get back to us.

Thanks, Peter. I'll try it in the morning. Let you know how it works.
