OT: Covert AIFF to WAV...?

I did a search but couldn't find anything (that doesn't mean it's not there).

How do you convert an AIFF file to a WAV file? Does it require the purchasing of additional software?

Import the AIFF audio to Vegas. Render as to a WAV file.

That's what I thought, but Vegas (v5) won't accept it.

I get a message that reads: "An error occurred while opening one or more files. The file is most likely corrupted or of an unknown format."

The file plays perfectly in the Quicktime media player.

I have version 6, Maybe it requires 6 or higher.

Try AUDACITY. It is free and claims to handle AIFF.
