OT "Dreamlight" What Prog is Used for This?

(Image quality probably is bad if enlarged here...)

Years ago when Artbeats used to give away clips once every so often, I got this 9 sec, one. I've used it a couple of times in "Add" track mode with some saturation and contrast tweaks. Back then I asked ArtBeats if I could contact the artist to find out how he or she did it, but confidentiality issues, so no go.

Then yesterday I ran across a company that had a couple of programs, including "Flame Painter" that could do this type of ethereal style -- but... it's only for still images, artwork, etc. So not in motion as with the Dreamlight clips at ArtBeats. If anyone has any idea what prog or generator can do this in motion, let me know.

Probably out of my fiduciary zip code, but no harm asking.

In the mean time, you can have some fun with the free online generator version of "Flame Painter".
Just put your cursor in the field and move around... :)

-- PS: Their other program, "Amberlight" simulates more complex things such as the ArtBeats Dreamlight. But again, it's just for still art and photoart.

And since I'm at it and it was just an impromptu thing, I made this from the Flame Painter (tweaked color range, added glow, line, text, etc.) But it sure would be fun to be able to have this kind of thing in motion. PI has some similar emitters but it can't do this kind of smooth organic flow.

Ah, bump I must due to no replies.
Mes apologies.

This could be done in After Effects: it has an incredible number of noise generators that can be animated. Layering animated noise and coloring would get you there, I think. Oh, that and your credit card. ;)

That looks to me like After Effects with the Trapcode Mir or Trapcode Form plugin, plus blurring.

Thanks for replies. Unfortunately, I only have CS3 (none of the Trapcodes retrofit) and cost for them would be prohibitive. Oh, well... C'est la vie. NRN.

Again ( my standard reply )

Download FREE Fusion 7 and you can do all that and 10 X more than After Effects.
Every single thing in Fusion is animatable. There is practically nothing you can't do.

You just need to sit down and learn how to do it

Thanks for info, deusx. It's up to v.8 but free version is in beta so I've just downloaded v.7 As you mentioned, may be a steep learning curve but since I have Particle Illusion and have created custom emitters/particles, it may shave off a degree or two of difficulty in said steepness... Naturally, PI is only 2-D but I've pulled off some decent 3-D-ish looking fx.
