My Philips doesn't do that (and i seriously doubt any would), altough i use it often as a DA converter when i'm to lazzy to setup my camcorder.

At work we have a Pioneer PRV-9000 and it does both firewire in and out. Cost was around a thousand dollars about a year and a half ago.

Since firewire is a bi directional interface, I can't see why it's not incorporated. Perhaps it's the same problem in reverse on camcorders - you pay more for DV in (I suppose then it becomes a video recorder!). It was just a widget device to enable DV in - I'm sure the same thing can apply for DV out on a set top box!

I'm sure high end models do. Our Pioneer PRV-7000 is a few years old and does a great job. Look around.
