It's similar to Skype, but has a few different features.
Instead of installing software, it's all done through the tokbox site.
As well as live video hook-ups, you can record a video message then send it via email to anyone - they click on the embedded link and watch your message.
It allows conference calls. Last night I hooked up with people elsewhere in Australia, in England, Sweden, Germany and Russia and we chatted for an hour.
They recommend a maximum of twenty participants at a time - more is possible, but audio quality can degenerate
Headsets are strongly recommended - if only one participant is using speakers - everyone hears the echo.
