YEah, I have it on a laptop at work. It works OK but I still prefer Power DVD.

I use all the time, came with my Pioneer 05, Seems to work fine, no complaints.

For around $45 you can get a Sigma Designs Hollywood DVD decoder card, It will play DVD like a standalone playerand also has S-Video and Digital outs.

If you shop for WinDVD, don't buy the boxed version at a store. You can get the latest CD for $10-15 on eBay.

PowerDVD and WinDVD are the two main software DVD apps. I prefer WinDVD, but they are both good.

I, too, bought my copy on eBay. I highly recommend WinDVD.

I saw the InterVideo software on a Gateway 310 model PC that my father (83years) bought last weekend for himself. It came already installed. I tested out on some of my Vegas and DVDlab home brew -R DVD's and they played fine with it. I do have Power DVD on my PC though and I have no compliants there either.
