I mail DVD's on a semi-regular basis. Mailing 4.5gb is a lot faster then me uploading & someone downloading, normally it's there the next day for ~$1. :) One time I mailed a set of finished DVD's for ~$6. That was 135gb for $6 delivered next day and I didn't have to tie up my system or connection at home.

Old ways are some times the best ways. :D

too true! with connection speeds at the lower end of the scale it's pretty pointless trying to upload any serious material.

i usually only upload 720p or 640x360 mp4's for client approval / viewing and thereafter mail them a dvd with the full res file(s) on it. if the finals bigger than 4.5gb (usually they aren't), i put it on either a thumb drive or ex hd - for which the client pays / supplies.

External 2.5" USB hard drives are so cheap today that I use them to send multi-GB AVI files across the continent. Express mail or FedEx gets them there in a jiffy and at relatively low cost. I suppose that soon I'll be using solid state drives for the purpose too.

If the location is close enough first class will get it there next day (if you mail early enough). Pack stuff in some bubble wrap & a paper bag & it's cheap to ship. :D

Once REALLY nice thing about the USPS is that Express is overnight anywhere in the continental USA even Sunday & Holidays.

Depending on the speed needed, I use Dropbox, or send an HDD by Express Mail or Priority Mail.

DropBox is also how I share screenshots and other media on this forum. just put it into your Public folder in your dropbox then right-click on it, go into the Dropbox menu and copy the public URL of the file. Use this link in your "img=" forum formatting.

The premium pack gets you 100GB / 5000 MB max file upload. = $9.95 month or less.

I'm a little confused there. What do "10GB/2048MB max" and "100GB/5000MB max" mean? If i do the math on them i come out with (approximately) 5 and 20. So what do "5 max" and "20 max" mean?
