OT - footage logger

OK - I should have tested this first, but I'm so swamped with deadlines, I won't get to it for a couple of days.

This is a QuickTime logger and it's very cool. I just don't know if/how it will work with Vegas. Perhaps someone can try it out and report?? The author sez it should work with AVI as well.

You play your movie in QT and when you pause you can immediately insert notes. It automatically timecodes the notes - wow. If you've got a lot of footage that's a wonderful thing. It's also a great way to work with clients.

Won't someone check this out please?

At the moment I don;t see how I can "save" a session and then return to it for further operations/edits/amendments - most likely me getting it wrong. It would be nice to be able to return.

But yes, it does pass the "Grazie-Test" for simplicity

Works with Avi. However a shortcoming at the moment is that is goes from first frame of video - not source time code. Looking at the comments on the site it looks like many people have requested that feature as well.

Other than that this is a nice little logger that is sort of like a modern verison of poping in a video tape, setting the counter to zero, and makling notes as you hit the pause button. I loaded up a full render of a feature and it took a while to load but it worked fine once loaded. Easy one click save gets you a text formated output. - I posted sample below.

====
movie: Work_print.avi
size: 720 X 480
length: 01:27:13:17
