OT: Force dual monitor program opening.

DGrob wrote on 8/18/2006, 2:47 PM
I give up. I think I've heard that there is a key combination that, when held as a program is closed, will reopen that program same screen, same size, same location, time after time. Windows XP, SP2, all current upgrades. Dual monitors, Alenware dual core AMD w NVIDIA video.

Thanks for your time, Darryl

Hold down CTRL while closing the program. I think Windows can remember about 200 settings for each "window", or program.

Tried that j razz. It's intermittent. V6 et al, yes. Particle Illusion, no. It's the PI that's driving me crazy.

Thank you, Darryl

Sorry, that is the only one I know.

That info is usually written to the registry when you close the application. Next time you run the programme, it loads the setting from the registry so it will usually display in its last position and last size.

I've never heard of a key combination that will do this.

Sorry. Just realised you mean dual monitors specifically. Forget I spoke!
