Did anyone actually download this, because I tried and came to a dead end. Could you e-mail me the zip file.

Thanks

I think they've got problems with the website.

I got as far as the Begin HTTP Download using Firefox but nothing happened so I tried IE and got this error:

Please click your browser's back button and try this action at a later time, or take a different action.

I got it via firefox & it downloaded fine.

I got it fine using Firefox.

Thank for the heads up Jeremy. I actually have Anime Studio Pro 5 and I didn't upgrade to 6 because I don't really use it much. I just downloaded the non-Pro version for my kids to put on their PC to play with. This is really great for kids to make their own cartoons. If you understand keyframes from Vegas you will understand how to animate with this tool fairly easily.

I got it today with IE. I'm on Firefox 3.0.11 and it just won't get past the download button.

Also got it with IE7.

I downloaded it OK, but it says it works on Windows 98 SE so I installed it on my W98SE machine. Task manager says it's running, but nothing appears on the screen. So I uninstalled it. Fortunately, I didn't give them my real personal information.

You have Windows 98 SE machine? ...the Smithsonian will be contacting you shortly. lol

I was disappointing that it didn't run on my Apple ][+. I couldn't figure out how to get the download onto a 360KB 5 1/4 in floppy. :-D

For anyone trying to share large files you can use http://drop.io very easily for up to 100MB (more with paid account).

If you have an account at http://www.getdropbox.com you can put up to 2GB in the public folder and give people the custom link to that file.

Also Gmail has a 25MB attachment limit now days.

I installed it on 64 bit vista and it works just fine- I even played around with it a few minutes before I was pulled away by my wife's contractions :)

Rory Cooper wrote on 7/13/2009, 11:53 PM

AlanC wrote on 7/14/2009, 3:59 AM
LightAds, if you click on http://my.smithmicro.com/freeanime/The Link[/link] that jrazz provided you get a choice between Download Anime Studio 5 OR Get Anime Studio 6 for $19.99
Rory Cooper wrote on 7/14/2009, 4:42 AM
Which then leads into a new widow and you click on and see “anime studio English full version” cant download this so enter there
Enter this to a new window and then??? Free trials no download???

Is this a French site with all the roundabouts???

Anyone got a blind guide dog they can lend me for a short while?

apparently, Smith Micro bought Antics, one of the animation packages that I use from time-to-time. After the sale, they sent me an offer for Anime 6 for - as I recall - $69. So I took the bait and went for the $20 offer and installed it. I've registered and opened it, but it isn't anything like Antics, so I guess I'll have to bite the learning curve soon. In any case, it does lip-synch, so I'll probably wind up using it some.
