OT: Free AntiVirus- AVG

Hello,

I thought I'd let you know there's a free antiVirus out there from Grisoft and would like to ask any problems you might have with it-if at all.

It's called AVG Antivirus Free Edition. It comes with a free monthly virus data file update.:

I know I got problems with Norton/Symantec. I didn't much mind that it hogged a lot of system resources. But the clincher is that it stands in the way everytime I attempted to do a system restore on WinXP, system restore being a virtual life-saver for my system. Just annoying. I finally got an excuse to get rid of it. I installed AVG and so far, so good. Haven't yet done a system restore, though.

Regards

I’ve been using for a couple of months now without any problems. I don’t even bother to turn it off when I capture video and haven’t dropped a frame yet. Restore points seem to work fine. It’s a great little deal.

I've been using AVG on both my computers for close to a year (maybe longer). I too am able to capture/render video in Vegas without worrying about the anti-virus interferring.
