It's a good video. I paid full price a couple of years ago.

Question to Any of the guys who have purchased the DVD

Are the tutorials very basic, from CCow I get the feel that the tut’s are very basic, it would be nice if they had some tut’s on ribbon swishes etc

I would really appreciate some feedback from you guys

Thanks Rory

I don't know what ribbon swishes are, Rory, but here are the titles of the 21 tutes:

1-Particle Basics
2-Overview
3-The Stage
4- The Graph and Hierarchy Windows
5- Properties
6- Layers
7- The Library
8- Project Settings
9- Rendering
10- pIRender
11- Preferences
12- Super Emitters
13- Forces
14- Using Forces
15- Deflectors
16- Blockers
17- Offsetting
18-Emitter Masks
19- Get Color From Layer
20- Easing Positions
21- Making Sparkles from Scratch

Shot…thanks so much Peter

There are a few chapters I need to get my head into, so it looks worthwhile getting the DVD

Are there any solutions to particle erase [ 7 11 de] no alpha channel render in this DVD?
I prefer the life increase of many of the particles this way ,but no alpha channel output makes it useless unless rendering for an animated mask

All round Peter did you find the DVD helpful?

Rory

I've only had time to watch the Overview so far Rory so my knowledge is very basic, but that pareticular tute was very helpful to get me started - I've downloaded the lot and have them as wmv and mov files.

I've already been able to render a few sequences with alpha, both as PNG sequences and Lagarith avis.

double post . . . deleted by ME!

Yes Grazie - based on the single avi I've done so far, I love it - sent him a small token of my appreciation ...

- but getting back to PI I'm having a few hassles - preview looks perfect, then the render has strange artifacts - like a vertical line mid screen, original texture on one side, plain white on the other - haven't got time to sort it at present, but I'll get back to it ...
