As I'm looking at acquiring a new system for Vegas someone pointed out that I shoud be sure and get a motherboard with USB 3.0 ability.

(FYI, so far I have only been able to find motherboards with 2 of the USB ports USB 3.0 while the other USB ports on the board are USB 2.0. Of course you can add a USB 3.0 card.)

Anyway I thought this YouTube review video clearly showed the difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.

It is probably old news for most now but maybe some will find it informative.

for some reason, Win7 can never see my two 1.5-TB WD drives unless I unplug their USB2 cables and re-plug (I never had that problem in WinXP with same hardware). I thought I might be able to kill two birds with one stone by getting a PCIe card for some USB3 ports. But most cards got terrible reviews on NewEgg when I recently looked at them.

Does anyone know of a good PCIe card for USB3? I can't use PCIe-16, I have only PCIe-4 slots. I also have run out of ordinary PCI slots.

Suggestions?
