OT: Happy New Year

Spot|DSE wrote on 12/31/2003, 4:01 PM
Happy New Year, everyone. 2003 was definitely an epic year for Vegas, the Vegas communities, and the people who build this amazing software application that many of us love and enjoy so much.
2004 looks to be very exciting as well, entering the new year with Sony at the helm of all these wonderful products. May 2004 be the best year ever for everyone.

Ditto from the Aloha state. Love this forum and the folks who contribute. I'm constantly amazed at how much everyone is so willing to help (not only here but in several other forums also) and at how much expertise there is here. Mahalo and Happy New Year!
Aloha,
Randy

We're half a day into the New year already here so I'm a bit late with this.

Many thanks to all those that have both helped and entertained me over my first year as a Vegie. I hope I've been able to give more good advice than bad, if I haven't my apologies to anyone I've sent down the wrong path.

BTW, anyone catch the footage of the Sydney fireworks? Surely they can get better images of fireworks than that, they seem to make the same mistakes every year.

Spot - you don't know me (as I'm new to posting on the forum), but I would like to take the the time to say Thanks for your help over the past year. Your willingness to help and expert advice were invaluable to me several times, even though all I did was read questions that others posted!!

I would like to echo that sentiment as well. I've made this forum my homepage at work. This and the DMN always provide wonderful tips and solutions. I don't care very much for the fighting though. Maybe that's just an anomoly of a community.
I pray for all that this new year is prosperous and that all of our sons and daughters overseas will be coming home safe and soon.

Again, thank you to everyone as well. Please don't single me out, however, there are so many incredible contributors to this and the other Vegas communities.
What's been most fun in the past year, is watching folks and their posts change. 3 years ago, it was a struggle to stay on top of the forums due to all the folks discovering Vegas for the first time. Last year, it was not as hard because there were a handful of people really informed about how Vegas functions. This year, the tide has slowly shifted to where there are more knowledgeable people than there are new discoverers. Watching the momentum of this great product from within and without the walls of Sonic Foundry and now Sony continues to be a learning and exciting experience.
I've enjoyed tremendously, meeting several of you at the VASST tours, at tradeshows, and at the few film festivals we attend each year. If by chance you make it to CES, NAMM, or Videomaker this month, I'd love to meet some of you there.
Hats off to everyone for making this one of the best Vegas communities out there.
