OT: hard drive prices going up?

I read on a pro audio forum where the retail price of a 2 TB. hard drive in Spain has doubled or in some cases tripled due to the flooding in Thailand.
I have no idea whether it will affect us but it is something to think about.
The forum mentioned the following article:
Thailand Floods will Impact Hard Disk Drive Components

I have an account with a fairly large electronics distributor. After I saw the flooding article, I checked on stock at the warehouses, and where I would normally see 10,000 or more hard drives in stock, there is only a handfull......... The really expensive ones were still in stock, but I bet they go fast.
Newegg is limiting hard drive purchases to 1 per customer. (All the ones I tried anyhow.) I ordered a couple to put on the shelf incase I have one die in an array....

It would seem that there is going to be a shortage issue!

Just bought a new 1Tb HDD on Friday and it had gone up $10 since Thursday. Salesman said they had been told price of next shipment may go up $150.
