OT: Has anyone used these suppliers

Hi Folks,

Has anyone any experience with either Ink Farm with their brand of ink or with Print Country out of San Diego? I'm trying to find a replacement for the SuperMedia Store since they stopped carrying G&G ink. I also posted a more general question about this on the DVDA board.

Thanks,

Chuck

Ha-ha, I see I'm not the only one who is missing the excellent G&G ink.

Their replacement "brand" is worse than worthless, because if it was just worthless, it wouldn't immediately clog the print head within hours of installing new cartridges.

Sad.

I am also holding it against Supermediastore that they wouldn't answer my inquiries about this, neither by phone or e-mail. That is two counts against them.

One solution is to stop buying Epson printers. That move alone will resolve 75% of a person's problems with clogged heads, inks, and paper jams.

That said, I like G&G inks myself and like you I ordered them from Supermedia store.

Popular suppliers of these inks are inkjetcartridge.com (AKA 123 inkjets). Their Resellerrating is 5 out of 10. Very poor.

Printcountry.com which has a Resellerrating of 6 out of 10 which is mixed.

Alotofthings.com which has a resellerrating with only one single review which is negative.

ABCInk (which is Meritline) that has a Resellerrating of 5.39 out of 10. Not much better.

I just tried Swift Ink and so far so good. They have a Resellerrating of 10 out of 10 and Coupon Codes are commonly available. They do not carry G&G ink, but the ink seems to work in both my Epson and Canon printers.

I have had good luck on my Epson 740 with ink from Inkdaddy.com

Thanks for the help folks. From what I saw part of the problem may be that Epson won a court case preventing the import of compatible cartridges. I'll do some more searching on Ink Farm, but in the meantime I'll give Swift a try.

That would be a reason for informed consumers to avoid Epson printers.

Professionals who sell prints for good money won't mind handing over their wallets for each refill, but happy amateurs and those who print DVDs need to look elsewhere.
