OT: HDV Decks

OK ,we finally pulled the trigger and entered the 21st century with HDV cams, is there any benefit of purchasing a deck other than wear on the camera ?

I guess it depends on how much you are using the camera. The decks are not cheap.

The main benefit is just headwear, and ease of connection, plus the space a deck maintains vs space a camera takes up (Footprint of deck is much smaller)
