The PS3 IS firmware upgradable to DTS MA and other hi def audio systems.... and the upgrade is on it's way.

A third party company has also developed an IR plugin for the USB port that will allow the PS3 to work with the Harmony remote.

Maybe you'll be more open about firmware issues? ;-) Well, I glad that the audio is starting to meet your needs. Hopefully it will demonstrate that it is a good buy for HD entertainment. Plus, Blink, I think you are demonstrating that your a bigger individual than the one that I was teasing about being a "lost soul", of course, that doesn't mean my sense of humour will improve in our conversions. ;-)

The PS3 is nothing short of brilliant. My only complaint with it is that my seven year old son keeps wanting to play video games on it.

Yes... I have a 13 year old.... I won't even let him LOOK at the PS3. It's in my living room... which is reserved for the wife and I..... about the only thing we have left in the house not overrun by kids... dogs.... cats...

It is a pretty nice machine though.... I don't regret buying it one bit.
