OT: "Ignore This User" misunderstood

I was under the impression that the "Ignore This User" function filtered out any and all references to the selected user, but I was mistaken. It does filter out his messages in any thread in which he's posted. However, it does not filter out his posts in the "Topic Subject" page, which I assumed it did also. It would help a great deal if it did... filtering out the offensive poster altogether.

Can this be done?

I suspect that the reason the function works this way is that if it did filter out the topic entry then you wouldn't have any way to see the replies from other people.

I have a very very good ignore feature that i use all the time. It's called "not reading the post if i don't want to."

this was brought up durring the zippy erra. Not sure why it does this but i'm just doing what Chien does too (it's getting annoying. every other post...)
