I've seen camera's in catalogs (an optics catalog I get twice a year. Edmonds Optics). However, the camera are expensive (above $500. Can shoot up to a couple hundred FPS thugh @ 320x240)

You can get very small security cameras with built in transmitters.
I have a Tx/Rx rig and the one problem we've found is the AGC cannot track the signal fast enough when someone walks between the Tx and Rx aerials. If they stop in the path the thing recovers after it drops a few frames.

I'd suggest a omni aerial on the car and a yagi on the reciever. Mount the yagi on a tripod and have someone keep it pointed at the car. We've been able to get a range of at least 1Km with a 50mW xmitter.

Rigs been used a few times at rave parties for shots from the dance floor with good results once you realise it's limitations.

Search Google for "R/C airplane cameras". There are dozens of companies that make small lightweight cameras that transmit wirelessly (which you would need).
