Yes. I have no problem with that. Back when other browsers tried to make money I had a problem, but not now. Besides, as I said, I use Firefox.

If you hate IE so much (after all, it's completely un-secure, right?) why do you care that you can't run it? I'm completely baffled by that.

So what you're saying is the following:

Dear Microsoft,
You have the worst browser ever created. It's chock full of security holes, always has been and always will. It's a memory (and other system resources) hog, is totally evil and monopolistic, and is bloated and stupid. And I'm ANGRY AS HELL that I can't install it on my system! I WANT IT!!!

Sincerely,
John

You aren't following this thread very well. Look at my first reaction to this post. I thought it sounded great and went to download it. When I got to the download site I changed my mind because they were putting unnecessary conditions on it's use. Most of my so-called "anger" is the result of some people's reaction to my subsequent rejection of it. I don't care if someone wants to use it anyway, but if you noticed, I wasn't the first nor would I be the first to chastize anyone if they chose to reject or accept it. You did that. Go back and read the posts and see where the vitriol began.

John

And I am not even that annoyed anyway. You are making entirely too much of all of this. I use both browsers. IE6 crippled and Firefox completely enabled. Let's give it a rest. I feel ridiculous arguing about something so insignificant anyway. I have a better idea -see deleted post above.

" I'm perfectly content with Windows 2000 "

" I'm perfectly content with SP1 "

" I'm perfectly content with ... " what else? MS-DOS?

I don't understand why Internet Explorer wasn't backwar compatible back to at least MS-DOS v6.22. There's much better performance without all that OS overhead.

Heck, imagine the performance you could get out of an NLE like Vegas was written in assembly code and designed to access the hardware directly. Woo baby!!!!

I mean when they stopped building Windows on top of DOS with Windows 95 I knew we were going down a long arduous path. It's just too much trouble to upgrade to these newer power sucking OS's like Vista.
