"The sports team from my area is better than the sports team from your area." very true in my area(wishful dreaming) ;-)

"the BMW religion?" do you have BMW tattoos? ;-) Do you said a prayer to BMW or thank God for BMW before eating or going to bed?

"aren't the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity) worshipping the exact same God" I think we should pass on this, many individuals have no humor or patience concerning religion.

it is white like an iPhone

Not mine, I got a black one. The white phone looks like an old diaphragm case.

glamorize a phone into an art object

Phone? You mean the handheld computer with a phone program?

And calibratable SPL meter programs.
And codec calculators.
And lighting calculators.
And color temperature-adjustable light source programs.
And lens FOV programs.
And digital clapper board programs.
And a digital directors viewfinder program.
And a Mired Shift (with Suggested Color Correction) program.
And a Siemens Star for eye focus checking (backlit!) and setting back focus.
And a focus assist program based on interference rather than the Siemens Star.
And a Final Draft-compatible screenwriting program.
And a good storyboard app that lets you take and work with photos of your locations.
And a program to control your NLE from your couch for relaxed marking etc.
And a hyper focal distance calculator.
And a coffee locator for travel.
And a 3D GPS with voice directions.
[And a lot of aviation programs...]
And a lot more that just isn't available at this time on any other handheld computer, with or without a phone program.

Some of the above programs will no doubt be ported to other platforms over the next few years, at least to some of the sometimes incompatible Android OEM implementations (same situation as with Linux, full compatibility is not available because everyone wants to stand out with their implementation).

Man, I sure wish the "Ignore This User" function was still available on the Vegas forum...

No. I have owned two BMWs a long time ago, including the first car they made that was fun to drive: a 1964 BMW 1800. Very good gearbox, engine, suspension, in short it felt like a modern BMW (before that they were more like the "Borgward Isabella" that was nicknamed "She Danced One Summer" after a popular movie, seeing that winter salt rusted these cars to the point where there was barely a Flintstone-mobile left, and the road holding was more reminiscent of a city bus).

The 1800 was great fun until a connecting rod blew on the freeway. My father-in-law rebuilt the engine in his shop for free, lucky for me as a poor student.

I think they figured that people just wouldn't bother to read posts by users they didn't like, so there was no need.

I'm sorry you feel so annoyed by the free flow of information.

The internet is full of garbage and good stuff both. We can't avoid seeing mention of the garbage, but we don't have to dive into it either.

I think I'll just take a long vacation from this forum, seems it would be best for everybody involved.

It is a fabulous idea!

Bjorn, please allow me to say no, it wouldn't be best as I for one appreciate the many contributions you've made here over the years.
What would be best is if everyone here would follow the golden rule that goes something like "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything".
