OT: Is CDA 'Dead'?

Seeing as how no one from Sony seems to be showing any interest in CDA in general and the issue of CD Text in particular I thought I'd try to provoke some sort of response over here.
I've successfuly used CDA to cut over 20 masters without a single problem from the duplication house and I'd add this client usually has at least one problem master so they're impressed and I'm impressed. CDA still carries a fair amount of clout it seems in the industry as being the de facto standard. That's probably based more on myth than reality but still one I'd like to continue to take advantage of.
But as soon as the client catches up with the times and starts asking for CD Text then it seems I'll have to look elsewhere. I'm certain Nero or whatever does as good a job as CDA but then I look just like every other hack.
I'm thinking maybe Sony feel there's so many other ways to get the job done there's no further revenue to be gleaned from CDA, I think they're wrong but I'm only one voice.

Again?? Oh yeah, it was SoFo who abandoned it before.

The sad indication that maybe it will be dropped, is that you have two regular beta testers asking for CD-Text (Rednroll and MacMoney).
If you're someone who's glass is always half full... maybe CDA 6 hasn't gotten to the beta stage yet.
