can't answer your question as i have acronis, but was going to give a heads up to anyone out there who doesn't have any back up so to speak of.

you NEED back up!

I know leslie, I know!!

I also need at least a million dollars to keep my wife and two daughters happy but I don't see that happening anytime soon :-)

I'm grabbing it now before I forget.
If anyone has good things to say about it, then I'll install it before the day is over.

If you go to the download page In the comments Limitations: 64-bit version of Windows is not supported!

EB

Update: Only windows 2000 64x is not supported. Badly worded specs.

EB, I'm running 32-bit XP Pro for now so that's not a concern at this time.

a. i use paragon disk partitioner, and in the past other stuff by them - so as far as that goes they're fine. heck, i'd install it and do a back up and hope you never need to find out whether it works or not.

b. i'm finding system restore (in 7/64) pretty bloody good. i went out of my way before really setting 7 up to screw things up and see if sys restore would do its thing, and it did every time....

c. cheap wife and daugther's you run there my boy...... or did you forget to add another zero or two?

d. i'd like to donate, but you'll have to wait till this bloke in nigeria sends me my $25 million.

leslie

oh wow!!! i've just won the lottery - i'll send you a couple of million as soon as they deposit it in my bank account.

seriously mike, i hope you never need to find out that any backup software works ;-)

I did some digging through user comments on that site's fora. This doesn't apply to the current give away but some of the other stuff they've been giving away appears highly suspect, possibly containing sophisticated trojans. I'd suggest doing your own research and proceeding with caution before installing anything that you have any doubts about.

ECB, that apparently is not correct. Scroll down and read comment #22:

#4 – Although the Software Requirements are poorly worded, they do offer 64-bit support. As far as I can tell, they only mean that 64-bit support is not available on Windows 2000.
