OT: Is the PD170 PAL / NTSC switchable?

I was pleased to see PAL / NTSC switchablility in the specs of the HVR-Z1and wondered if this had been a feature of the PD170 all along without me knowing. Couldn't find a reference to it in a quick Google search though.
