OT: It Came A Flood

I have been up since 2am with tornado sirens, flooding and severe thunderstorms. I spent a few hours early this morning at our rental cottage helping the tenants soak up water that was penetrating the floor. Our other rental house and our house are fine thank God.

Here is a link if you care to look.

I hope to get some rest soon... but they are calling for more tonight and tomorrow. Some areas got up to 14.5 inches in less than 12 hours.

Yikes! Jeremy

Be careful. Looks really bad. Any chance it will rise AFTER the rains stop?

There is a chance. The ground is oversaturated and tree root systems are failing. We have a lot of downed trees and sinkholes. There was one picture I saw earlier where a truck was in a sinkhole (on the street in front of one of our hospitals) and the hole was about 15x15 yards or so. It showed a majority of the car this morning. I saw another picture from a few hours ago and all you can see is the back tail gate.

I-24 in Nashville is impassible and I-40 is closed between Memphis and Jackson.
