OT: Litescribe DVD Labeling

PC World is reporting new technology that HP has developed which allows for a DVD burner to also burn a label on the flip side of the disk. First I've heard about this. Has anyone looked at this capability and/or seen the output? Is it viable? Looks pretty good from this article: http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,114592,00.asp

Interesting, as long as you like monochrome. Remindes me of brocade. Right out of China, a LONG time ago.

Says it will appear in six months. Is that from writting date of January 2004, hence NOW? Or, six months from the publication date of March 2004, hence September 2004?
