Hmmmmmmmmmm... I registered with Artbeats & all, but the URL takes me to a page that says "free clip downloads", but there's not a clip to be found, just some instructions about how to download a clip, if there were any clips there to download.

The page has lots of links to other pages inviting me to buy clips for several hundred dollars...

Works fine here.
Once you get to that page there's 6 clips at the bottom. RClick the name and select Save Target As. Works fine for me. The top three clips are in NTSC, the bottom three are PAL.

Tip, if there's two clip names and one ends in "M" download that as well. That clip is the mask for you to use in a composite. The Fire clip has a mask with it.

Yes, their stuff is expensive although a LOT cheaper than others I've looked at. It's also mostly very high quality. Artbeats are a major sponsor of the Vegas NAB Party.

Bob's right. Artbeats is top notch. Yes, a single clip might set you back a couple hundred dollars, BUT, you're getting the clip you want.

I bought one of the Digital Juice footage libraries. For the most part, it's simply junk. Did it cost much? No. Do I find it useful? No.

I like the ala carte system of Artbeats. I only buy what I need.

I only got one clip, well two if you count both the NTSC and PAL versions. How do you get all three?

R click the clip name and do a Save As.
That's from the link I posted.
Once you sign up you get one as well and when you're signed up you'll get an email around once a month with a link to download a freebie.

These are old SD stock, obviously most now want 16:9 HD so they can afford to give them away. Really funny thing, one of the freebies I got was from Sydney. Took me while to make certain because the part of the city it was shot in was remodelled like 20 years ago.

Even though they're "old SD stock", Vegas upscales them to HD as good as any NLE. No sense in throwing out the vids even if you're not doing much SD work anymore.

Strange...

I don't see the files either. I saw the one I got for signing up and it worked perfectly. Tried both a PC with IE6 and one with 7 but no cigar.

I mailed their support and will be back and post, when I have the answer.

Sorry guys, I know how frustrating these things can be.

Just checked using the link I posted in the first post in IE6.

It takes me straight to the login page.
I login and then it takes me back to the page that says "Free Clip Download" and "Download link expires Feb 15, 2008".

At the bottom of the page are 6 clips with thumbnails (3 each for NTSV and PAL). The clips are RF107, SPA119A and TL306

One other thought. Seeing as how this is from COW maybe, just maybe they've authenticated my email address as being a registered COW member.
