If it isn't some browser or firewall security setting issue, you might be getting that gray box because that chat room requires Microsoft's Virtual Machine, which was deactivated in an XP upgrade a while back (because of legal issues) and caused problems for people using Yahoo chat groups and any other VM Java using application. They just won't work with Sun Java. You'll need to search for file "msjavwu.exe" to reinstate Virtual Machine in XP. MS no longer provides it but I have found different versions with web searches.

Well, living in the Old Country . . Started talking to myself at 5:45 this morning . . . JAY! Nice s/w . .it works .. it is simple we got our "Double Quotes" back and the " ' " Single quotes too, without the "/" . . AND you've given me BEER ICONS too! . .BIG mistake!?!?!?!

Love it .. some realy neat emoticons . . very funny . . great colour schemes and just very very workable . . nice sounds .. would like the "tinkly" music back . .THAT was the only good thinbg about the "other" s/w . .. but it WAS very buggy! We got zapped-off at least 4 times .. I think?
