Ughh. I reported the other day to the forum that I upgraded Win Media Player to version 10 on one of my machines. Mistake. Luckily it's not my video editing machine.
I'm listening to some wav/mp3 files while surfing. Randomly, when I switch between WMP 10 and my browser or other open windows, sometimes there is a 1 second delay of silence. Other times when I switch off of the player to another window, the bass cuts many decibels and very noticable static is introduced. When I switch back to WMP, the static and base clear up. Switch back to another open window, sometimes it returns.
I've been using this machine for 3 years, no problems until WMP 10. Granted, it is not the most recently powerful machine, but I've worked with HDV on it.
The pause of silence is bearable, but the persistent static is uncalled for. Anybody else experience problems? This is the only program change in 8 months.
