For private use, I've downloaded some ragtime music in midi format and recorded it as wav-files in Vegas. Sometimes even fiddled with the the arrangements (added some simple brass - makes it very Randy Newmanisque). I know, it's not the same thing you're asking for, but it's good, it's easy (depends on how much you want to make of it) and it's free (for private use).

There's quite a few free midi players around if you're not after anything fancy and heaps of free midi tracks. Trick I did was to just record the output of the midi player, not exaclty pristine sound but it was good enough for the purpose and the result is royalty free so long as the copyright to the composition has expired.
I said record not import. Big difference. I play the midi on a midi-playing app using the synth on my soundcard and recording the sound realtime in Vegas. Mind you, I do this track by track and mix them afterwards in Vegas because it gives me more control and fuller (fatter) sound than just relying on the midi controls.
Maybe you could do all of this simpler in Acid but I'm not on that stuff - yet.
