OT: Old video equipment

YesMaestro wrote on 8/14/2006, 9:17 PM
While cleaning out a closet, I came across some old video equipment I used from years past. A JVC BR6200 VHS player, an old Vidicraft Special Effect Generator, a Sony DXC3000 camera, etc.

What does one do with this antiquated equipment? I thought of donating it to a school but it's from the analog days and probably not useful. Any ideas?
Thanks

Paul

eBay.

Although a school should be able to do a lot with the DXC3000 camera, very usable quality camera for studio use.

I donated my old 16mm equipment to the local high school and they almost didn't want it. They had the complete video setup and kind of laughed at the old stuff.

A short time ago Armatos camera was selling a used DXC3000 for $995 if that helps.

look for possibly selling to a prop house. I work with a school that's in an old news studio. We get tons of calls from local to national productions looking for old news gear that can be used in a film.
