OT: Pana DVC30 vs 100A

I am considering the jump from 1 ccd to 3 ccd. Pana makes several camcorders that recognize Vegas.
Is this a valid (simplified) comparison between the DVC30 and 100A ?

DVC 30 is cheaper by $1400, has more low light capability.
100A has 24P, 1/3" (vs 1/4") ccds, better "Film-like" appearance.

What other differences do forum members see as pertinent?
TIA- Diego

If I'm not mistaken, the DVC30 has roughly the same gamma presents as the 100A, which (depending on who you talk to) really makes more of a difference than frame rate when trying to achieve the ellusive "film-look."
I'm not sure if the DVC30 has XLR ins, but I haven't looked into the camera, either.

And, for full disclosure purposes-- I'm buying a 100A next month with my student loan money!

I have been studying the DVC30 for the last month. Unless tyou absolutely need the 24p, go with the DV30. The DVC30 does have XLR inputs and adapters available for it as well. $1400 you save can be spent on something better.

The DVC30 is the cam of my choice and once everything works out, thats what I will be using exclusively.
