OT: PC AND MAC PSD FILES

Probably stupid question, but I know nothing about MAC's. Can photoshop files from a MAC or a PC be opened on the other OS? For example, if I save a file in PSD format on a PC, can it be opened on a MAC in photoshop and vice versa? Reason I ask here is that I have a project coming up where the client has edited a bunch of files on PS on a MAC.

I run CS2 Photoshop on both platforms and have no trouble opening PSD files created in either platform on the other

Yep, several file types are cross-platform, psd and jpg (jpeg) are a couple of examples.

photoshop makes files that are platform independent, like acrobat. so it can run on any os that can read the file. :)
