OT: program to create random video?

Is there a program that generates a random display like what you see in windows media player? An artist friend is looking to create a visual background to display with his music. The WMP style is what we are after. It is embedded in windows, is there a stand alone version for sale? TIA ,JM

Set your monitor to 60 cycles and point your camera at it. It wont be as clear, but it's not bad. Of course Bill Gates may show up to collect some money.

Probably what you want is a "Fractal Generator".

Here is a freeware program that can create fractal animations.
