I waited for over a year for this indie film to be theatrically released nationally after being well received at the festivals. Sadly, it never was.

Shot in Washington State, the film is basically a lighthearted comedy with a moral lesson about a Native American Man (Eric Smallhouse) who hears a spirit tell him that it is his destiny to lead his people back to the old ways. But being raised off the reservation he has no clue as to what the old ways were. So he tries to teach his 12 year old son the "old ways" and the story builds from there.

The film got a six figure grant from the NYU film school.

A dedicated website contains the history of the indie film endeavor and makes for an inspiring read for anyone looking to undertake such a venture.

The film is to be released in on February 26, 2008 in Standard Definition DVD and HD DVD.

I can't wait.

John
