OT: Remove macrovision from AVI?

I have a client who records video on an Archos player. Due to a bug in the Archos software they will occasionally get random clips that have macrovision drm applied. The clips are DivX in an AVI container. There are no legality issues with removing the macrovision from these clips - only the technical challenge. Anyone know how we can remove the macrovision?

Cropping out the top 4 or 6 lines of the frame seems to do the job.

Excellent Kelly, we'll give that a try. It will not be an issue to lose lines in this type of video.
