OT Royalty-free track c.f. Adagio for Strings

Before I go auditioning hundreds of tracks, can anyone off the top of their head recommend a high quality, royalty free classical track something like Barber's "Adagio for Strings"?

It's for the whale shark footage that you can see on my underwater videos page, which I'm putting in a DVD. I need something grand to reflect the shark's size and grace but with a sad underbelly if you know what I mean :)

thanks

You can Google "Anitra's Dance" and find a site that will sell a royalty-free, downloadable performance for about $60 one-time fee. There are other sites with that song from the Peer Gynt suite so take care to audition them on-line to be sure you're not buying a synthesized version. The one I noted is an actual orchestral recording. Here's the link"

I recently purchased ten CD's of buyout music (licensed through BMI) on eBay - I really like the sound - You can listen to samples of it at this link: http://www.studioland.com/IMPACTCompilationSamples.html

The guy who sells it always has them up - His current auctions are at:

The prices are very reasonable (I got ten CD's for less than $70 including shipping) and the pieces have full versions as well as 5, 10, 30, and 60 second versions.

Thanks for the sources guys. Unfortunately the "Anitra's Trance" track is too fast and jolly. I'll do some auditioning but if anyone else has an idea, especially something I can download, I'd love to hear it.

Spot has a number of pieces of music on the VASST site that you can check out.
Dolphin Dreams might work for you but it's only 33 sec. long.

Found a buyout version of "Anitras Dance" available from Catovah music -

You can listen to a Real Audio version and decide if you want to buy it.
