HD-DVD is dead, long live Ultra-DVD!

Can you (meaning "I") author menus for it?

Is it a commercial (ROM) only platform or will we mortals be able to tag along with writable media?

LOL, yes, the author of that article is trying to sound smart, but he doesn’t have a clue about the difference between DVD and BD.

They will not need a new BD format for 4k, all they need is an H.265 codec upgrade in the player. Pretty sure with h.265 and a 50GB disc you will have enough room for a 2-3 hour 4K movie. The bandwidth requirements for 4k h.265 should fit inside the existing BD media rates. Its a way to sell us another product and not change their core manufacturing pipelines to much.

They may not need new media, but they will need to update the BD standard with regards to the new video formats.
