If you check Newegg regularly you will notice that they discount the Patriot cards regularly on top of their normally low price. For example, today if you click on the link I provided, you will see that there is a $5 discount and a $10 Mail in Rebate bringing the total down to $16.99 for that flawless 32GB card. Patriot Memory always pays their rebates.

Dave,

Be careful not to fragment the card by deleting scenes and/or pictures. This can cause video hickups as the camera tries to fill the holes. First transfer everything to your PC and then re-format the camera's memory and card(s).

By the way, I use Transcend 32GB Class 10 cards. I have the HF M41, it's a wonderful camera, I'm very content with it.

Lou,

That is the one with the viewfinder. I wanted that, but budget just wouldn't allow it.

Thanks for the tip about fragmenting.

"Thanks for the tip about fragmenting."Here's another tip... I developed the habit such that everytime I put an SDHC card in my computer, I flip the "lock tab". That way it's impossible for my computer to do anything to corrupt the card. (of course you have to flip the tab back when returning it to your camera).

My M41 does have the viewfinder but in practice I find that I mainly use the LCD screen. I haven't used the viewfinder yet, I think I will only use it occasionally.

The 64GB SDXC cards are on sale today at http://sellout.woot.com/ for $49.99 plus $5 shipping.

Make sure your camera works with SDXC. My Nikon does. Not all do. These cards also work in my Epson printer card reader, which surprised me since it is a few years old.
