In case anyone else is interested. I personally like DVD-A but it cannot do what I require and has been relegated to by hobby program shelf. I have been using Reel DVD at work and find it a very good program. Also, if you plan to send work to replicators (as opposed to duplicators like me) it exports to DLT tape. Yes, it requires the use of a dongle key but that won't stop you using it at work and at home. DVD-As obsession with recompiling perfectly good MPG2 files in all their variations AND failure of discs to play on any of our bulding's DVD machines pissed me off enough to try Ulead DVD workshop and subsequently ReelDVD. Face it; Vegas + and DVD-A list for 799. ReelDVD which does only DVDs goes for the same, except during this limited time offer.

Haven't been checking the postings here for several weeks but thought I'd pop back and share the news with you.

You forgot to mention that it requires Photoshop along with other programs.

And also it is not an easy program to learn, including Photoshop. I agree that Reel DVD is a good program, but the only reason they lowered the price is because of the competition. And lets not forget that it has been around a long time. I also agree that DVDA is limited, but for version 1, and the price, it works for me.

BTW, your reference to Vegas+DVD at $799, does not make much sense.

And as far as your DVDs not playing, does not mean it is the fault of DVDA or Vegas. That can happen with any authoring, encoding, or burning program, and the format that you burned it........and lets not forget the players themselves.

And last but not least........sharing information is a good thing, but when you get on a board, like this one, and post negative information, you will have to expect to get flamed a little.
