I haven't been to South by South Usless in many years. I understand they have improved a lot of things and added the film festival as part of it. Some friends of mine are doing shows there - Jason Falkner is one. If you're going you should check him out. He is playing at a place called Tambaleo on the 16th. And if you were ever into The Lazy Cowgirls, Pat has his own thing going and hew is playing at the Whiskey bar on the same night. I think he is just using his own name - Pat Todd.

And another friend is also doing a show - not sure if it is part of the fesitival or not - but Janet Robin is doing a few shows at Momo's. One on the 14th and 2 sets on the 15th. Janet is one of the nicest people in the industry despite being screwed around on major lablels she has not given up. When I first met her she was 17 I think, playing co-lead guitar (Studied with Randy Rhoads) and on a major (Polygram). Now all these years later she has toured with Lindsey Buckingham and Meredith Brooks as their guitarists and has been singing and doing solo stuff. She is awesome - but you know so are the others I mentioned as well. Don't want to play too much of favorites. ;) Go see 'em all.

You know I just relized I am really dating myself with some of these people.
