OT: Tapes / Transportation

Hi

Just to be sure - is it considered ok to leave a tape inside the camera when transporting it. I guess it is ok for a short time / move, but what about for longer time moves?

Some cameras completely unthread the tape when you hit STOP while others leave it partially threaded to allow for a quicker re-start.
I've always worked on the assumption that my camcorder is the latter so I remove it if it's a longer time period than just a quick location change.
